Converting to the V2 update format

PRSM uses the default V1 update format. I’m thinking of converting to the V2 format to take advantage of the better compression. However the README is a little vague on two points:

  1. “You can opt-in into the V2 update format which provides much better compression. It is not yet used by all providers.” Does the basic y-websocket provider support V2?
  2. Is there a way of telling whether an update is in V1 or V2 format (I’ll need this to test whether an old document is in need of converting from V1 to V2).

y-websocket only supports v1. Also, you can’t tell whether an update is v1 or v2. I recommend, that you store the encoding format alongside of the update message.
