What is PermanentUserData and any documentation about it?

I am learning how to implement Version Histories like google docs, I saw PermanentUserData many times but don’t what exactly it is and how to do use it. From the name, seems it stores the user data, but I would like to know more about it.

Does anyone know the documentation about PermanentUserData?

How to use Y.PermanentUserData?

I need to communicate this better. Everything that is not documented in the Yjs readme is not stable. The PermanentUserData feature works but I plan to improve it and I don’t want to give the intention that I will support this implementation in the future.
